Based on the measurement guide in the back of one of the long tall sally catalogues, i chose the size best to fit me which was an 8 and it should have fit almost perfect. when i tried the dress on, it was huge! i will need to have it taken in at least 4 inches on the top. other than that, i really like the dress. it's greyish/purple and the material is soft and shiny. very pretty and worth the money. as wonderful as it is to find a long dress, i will need to have it taken up a few inches.

Stunning dress. i nearly didn't buy it because of the other reviews. i would say i am quite a standard 12 on my bottom half, but i am a 34d at the top. so was worried it might be too snug. wow!! its like it was made to measure!! and it covers my bit of leftover baby tummy. my one downer is that it is very long. my hubby is the same height as me and i am going to have to find some killer heels!! but if your 6 foot plus it will be perfect. hope this helps.

A very sexy and stunning dress i love it, yes it is long in length and the sizing might be out of sync with perhaps over dresses on the market. but who cares not many dresses are great fitting now days anyway. it is nice for a change to have a proper smooth shiny satin instead of it being rough dull matte look material all the time. my biggest gripe is the lining it is quite a rough feel to touch like a chiffon type . it really should of been the same material as the outside is shiny satin .

Lovely but so long!

Beautiful dress.. I also bought the 14 and am quite small chested so it fits me well.. However i am having it taken up before I can wear it as it is just far too long - even with a 4 inch heel! (I m 5ft 10)

Unusual fit

I just received this dress. The pictures are quite misleading as the dress is extremely long, the bust is tiny almost like a 12 and the rest of the dress like a 16 ( I bought a 14) the material looks cheap and shiny I will be returning as soon as the post office is open.
