      Poor fit

I bought the Cydwok Trend in brown based on the glowing five star review it had received, the fact that it said it fit true to size in the description, and because they are handmade in America. I'm not usually one to leave reviews, but based on my experience, thought I'd add one with the hopes that it might help a future purchaser. If I had known how these would fit, I would not have chosen to purchase them.Yes, they are a beautiful, well-crafted shoe. The leather is gorgeous, encrusted with what look like tiny microbeads, which gives them a subtle glimmer. Loved that. What I didn't love, however, was the fit. I have a true size 13 medium foot. Never would I be able to squeeze into a narrow without causing pain. So I was surprised by how this true to size" sandal fit on the foot. The heel was HUGE (too deep and wide), causing my foot to slide up and down while walking. The second negative is the strap that goes across the foot. The piece with the buckle is fine. It adjusts to fit. But the piece below the buckle is way too long, and it gaps and sags at the side, rather than fit flush to the foot. Since that piece is not adjustable, there was no way to correct it.Rather than keep a beautiful shoe that wouldn't stay put while walking and had an unattractive saggy/baggy fit to the strap, I decided to eat the $25 in shipping and call it a lesson learned. Bottom line: This shoe might be one that is just better to try on in person before deciding whether or not to purchase."
